After watching this movie I found onething sure that what the difference Amir Khan makes with his presence.
I felt strongly that Lagan was more to do with Amir khan’s work as compared to Ashutosh’s. The film lacks punch and clear messege.
One should never forget that higher the quality of the theme, higher is expected fromy our side. The theme taken for Swades was certainly a very good one. We have been loosing our talents to west everyday, and it’s a very sensitive issue and a matter of concern. One one side you fight to get and purchase ’’Falcon Integrated System’’ from Israel and USA creates trouble to you and another side your prestigeous IITians have got only one dream..to get inside USA! You know The Falcon Integrated System is not developed by any company but hD students of University of Tel- Aviv, Israel...which has only two universities! And here you have got 7 IIT’s 4 IIMs etc etc and all after graduating escape to USA or money.
Whatever we argue but our all argument fails when we see Israel, where the students stay produce technology in the mid of terrorism and war with 99.995 accuracy, adn they don’t leave the country but put it on the top!
You can’t use nuclear weapon and missiles on Israel becuase it’s blankated!
I mean to say it’s very sensitive topic Ashutosh had selected but he should have just done the justice to such a complex issue as done by the magnificent movie ’’Black’’ recently.
The movie was lacking the messege punch and conviction. Shahrukh khan was alway in same frame..unable to react with the requirements for the character he played..Mohan’s.
The lacking energy which we saw in Lagaan by the whole unit and irresponbile manner in which such a brilliant idea was dealt kills the movie. Such mvies are required to be made by totality and heart. The responsibility should have been taken!
Would have been it done very well, this could have been an excellent cinema with a strong social messege and positve note on society...which has been wasted and discouraged the future to discuss such issues further.
They should learn something from ’’Black’’ a movie loved by all and a great impetus on the indian society. We need such involvements.
