Swimming Is Refreshing.


Swimming is an ideal activity for people of all ages and ability. It is very important & useful to learn swimming at early age. Specially childrens should be exposed to swimming at early age because young children learn faster and are more fearless than adults, If children are not exposed to swimming at an early age, their fears of swimming will develop. That is why swimming lesson should begin at an early age.


I’ve been a competitive swimmer since I was only eight years old. I love to swim everyday. Swimming is my passion.


A brief history , Swimming is an ancient pastime and workout. Many experts believe that our ancestors learned how to swim by observing and imitating the behavior of animals that live in water, such as fish and frogs. The earliest record of people swimming is found in the Cave of the Swimmers, a cavern dating back to 4000 BC in the southwest Egyptian desert near the border with Libya.


Swimming is a healthy activity that one can continue for a lifetime. It is a low impact activity that has many physical and mental health benefits. If you like being in the water, here are some benefits that will have you smiling all the way to the pool.


The benefits of exercise on our physical and mental health are innumerable. Being active can help you live longer and feel better. It can improve your mood and help you sleep better. It can help you manage your weight and improve your balance. When swimming, your body is supported by water so there is no excessive stress on any one set of muscles or joints.


Swimming can be done as an exercise or as a pastime that can be enjoyed all the year round. It can be carried on out-of-doors in the sea, river or swimming pools. The best way to start with swimming is to optionally take a training course if you are entirely new to swimming, or go ahead and try it yourself if you know a little .


When starting a swimming routine, as with any other physical fitness activity, make sure to consult with a physician. Start slowly and build up to increase the limits. Remember, the speed and distance is not as important as the amount of time you swim.


Once you start swimming, you’ll find it addictive and your body will be craving to get into the water and get moving. This is because all elements of the body get a workout in water, while the mind enjoys the rest and being at peace.


According to the American Heart Association, just 30-60 minutes of physical activity 3-4 days per week can help reduce your risk for heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. A regular physical activity program can also help lower your blood pressure and cholesterol . Overweight people should prefer swimming over jogging as your feet are less stressed in swimming. Swimming has the added benefit of providing a total body cardiovascular workout unlike any other.


It is surprising to know that a runner who can run six miles in an hour & a swimmer who swims for an hour, The calories burnt by this runner and swimmer are the same.

According to Bob Kast, Swimming uses more overall muscle groups of the body than almost any other form of exercise. Swimming involves low injury risks with the benifits of physical activity and health improvement.


1.It helps to reduce your risk for heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. This exercise also maintain your blood pressure and cholesterol


2.Swimming exercises almost all muscles in the body. Usually, the arms and upper body are exercised more than the legs.


3.According to the recent research studies, Swimming is good for asthma sufferers.


4.The metabolism of the body increases at higher body temperature, burning more food energy during swimming the body is cooled.


5.Pregnant women can also benefit from swimming. Swimming can help them strengthen their abdominal and shoulder muscles. Abdominal and shoulder muscles are areas that are often taxed by carrying a baby. Water exercise can also reduce the joint stiffness, high blood pressure, and discomfort associated with pregnancy.


There are other psychological benefits to swimming, if you allow it to occur. Relax and swim with a very low effort. Let your mind wander, focusing on nothing but the rhythm of your stroke. This form of meditation can help you gain a feeling of well-being, leaving your water session refreshed and ready to go on with the rest of your day.


Many swimmers find an indirect benefit form swimming. They develop life skills such as sportsmanship, time-management, self-discipline, goal-setting, and an increased sense of self-worth through their participation in the sport.
