I bought this cooler in summer last year, because where I live, the heat is just unbearable.
This coolers fan worked just fine, until I started filling water in it.
For the first few days, it worked as expected but as summer drew in, I started to use it for more than 5 - 6 hours during daytime, and it started to gobble up water, without any increased cooling effect.
I had to fill it twice a day, and that too with a whole bucket of water. This gets pretty tiresome.
Thats not the end of it, after a few more days, the suction motor for cooling started to make a weird grunting voice and later it became very loud too. I had to kick it a few times to stop the noise.
But still, I had no choice but to bear with it.
The whole body is made of plastic and the stand is also fragile and slippery if you ask me.
One must be careful when trying to move it, cos it may fall down.
So from my experience I would say that Rs.9000( thats what I paid for it) is too much for a cooler of this kind.
Though if you wanna use it as bedside fan, it provides sufficient air even at low voltages due to the big fan size.
