The title of this review probably sums up the USP of the Symphony in Bangalore. Strategically located, just minutes away from the innumerable watering holes of Brigade Road and MG Road, giving a variety of options to theatre-goers both before and after the show. The cinema hall is of huge capacity, and the three-tiered ticket pricing system can suit any pocket at any time of the month. Logistics in this theatre are all geared towards a comfortable viewing experience. Parking is easy and ample, procurement of tickets is hassle-free on most days. Attendant staff know what they are doing, the interiors in the premises are clean. The screen and picture quality is usually good, and the sound system is kept in peak condition. The loos are kept clean and tidy. The lifts work, but the only way to go is up. Walking down the serpentine staircase is an exercise. The same point to be noted by smokers, who need that nicotine during the interval- you can only smoke outside the theatre, so unless you are very fit, smoking can cause you to miss the first bits of the movie after the break. My only hassle about the place that can be attributed to the management, is that they never screen the credits, oh so irritating when you are trying to figure out a particular riff in the soundtrack that sounded familiar. Other common hassles that are faced by many theatre-goers elsewhere are the irresponsible, impolite hordes of cellphone users, prohibitive pricing of in-house snacks and beverages and the usual problems faced by most six-footers in public places in India.
