I HAVE A DIET 22T, NOT A 50T. *
Considering that it takes 15 minutes to create a new product in MS, and then another 2 hours or so to receive the “product has been created, now write your review” email, I think we are all better off putting it here. Since they are the same product with a bigger tank capacity.
So I’m in pune. 2 years ago. . .
I originally bought the diet 8T. I guess my logic and reasoning centers were on holiday that day, cause I took the advice of the roadside pan chewing dealers who are from a particular who care only about money and not about the customer.
I mean 8 litres of water? That will evaporate in 2 hours. Why didn’t I think like that? 2 days later, there was no support from them. No DOA, no exchange nothing. I somehow got the number of the symphony area manager for MH from Maharashtra electronics in pune. That gent arranged an exchange, I only had to pay 2K extra and get the diet 22T from mh electronics.
In hindsight, I should have got the diet 50T, as that would be perfect at window height, and I would not have to fill her twice a day. I used this cooler every day, rain or shine and a year later the pump went kaput. Got it replaced free of charge and the service guy also cleaned the cooler in the process. A new pump costs around 600 INR and lasts as long as you drain and clean the cooler weekly, don’t run the cooler dry for long periods of time.
2 years and I’ve shifted my residence. Thanks to tempo transportation, the wheels are not stable anymore. The cooler still works just fantastic. The cooler still cools me very well except in the most humid months.
Maintenance:
Weekly schedule when you’re using this thing.
1. Remove the drain plug and let the water out.
2. Pour water from the top in the ice chamber, and also spray with less pressure over the cooling pad, so that whatever is stuck in the cooling pad will trickle into the tank.
3. Twist her left and right and let her drain completely.
4. Wait a few minutes before you fill her up again, otherwise you may have water flying around.
For maximum cooling:
1. Evaporative coolers work best in less humidity. It’s no wonder they are no use in Mumbai. Invest in a cheap thermometer and hygrometer from ebay so you know in advance when you’re cooler is going to work well for you. This cooler works very well till around 60% humidity.
2. Place it next to a window such that it sucks in dry air from the outside and throws the same air inside directly.
3. IF you want a large room to be less cooled, choose a high air speed setting.
But if you want one or two bed size area to be chilled, choose the medium or low air speed setting
IF you choose a high air speed, more air will be moved, but at the same time it will be in contact with the pads for a shorter period of time. Hence, the net drop in temperature will be less. Vice Versa. Get it? J
In my experience, this is a great product; the company is also usually ready to jump head over heels to help the customer. Provided you have support in your area.
