Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah would be a top-class family comedy show but for the frequent inclusions of events such as festivals, functions, etc, and movie promotions in Gokuldham Society.
Jethalal and Bapuji are the heart of the
show in terms of acting. Their comic acting is better than even Bollywood standards of comedy. The show started with seemingly very inexperienced actors such as the Mehtas and the Sodhis. And they are still mediocre in the way they act, especially the new Sodhis. Scenes featuring the Mehtas are irritating to say the least.
Why Watch It?
This show will have its dull times every now and then, but you will always return to it because
there is no other show in Hindi right now with evergreen comedy and characters, plus having a family appeal. Other shows become dull because their comedy gets dull; this show becomes dull only because the dullness is part of the story, and the humour that follows will again be of the same standards.
At last I must say this again, A Complete Family Entertainer it is.
