Taarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chasma (SAB TV) is a based on a famous Gujarati comedy series written by Indian columnist and journalist Tarak Mehta. The show is absolutely a laugh riot for those who tend to seek comedy in real life experiences. The show tends to soothe me out after a real tiring day. Needless to say, it’s a complete package of “Laughter” on SALE!!
The actors are fabulous and the serial is very well directed indeed. Every character that has been woven out is a complete masterpiece.

Story:
This serial do revolves around the happening of Gokuldham Society in Mumbai, Maharastra. The protagonist, Jethalal Gada is a typical Gujarati businessman, married to Daya (Disha Wakani). They have a very mischievous son Tipendra (Bhavya Gandhi) everybody knows him by Tapu. Jethalal keeps throwing his weight around at home, but is very scared of his father Champaklal (Amit Bhatt). The characters do potray their role in a very relevant way. And Daya Gada is simply brilliant. An innocent, uneducated and a good hearted lady. She often talks to her mother on the phone but her mother is never revealed. She is very good at an Indian style of dancing called "GARBA" and she does that for showing happiness. She innocently insults Jethalal much to his dismay. Daya refers Jethalal as "Tapu ke papa" because in rural India wives arent supposed to say their husbands name. However, she generally disrespects Jethalal whenever she meets her brother. She uses words for Jethalal that don`t even match his personality. She loves her family and tends to fall into troubles often. Not to forget, Tapu Sena -- Gogi(Sodhis son), Sonu(Bhides daughter), Goli(Hathis son), Pinku (unknown parents) And Tappu (Son of Jethalal and Daya) and the leader of Tappu Sena is always out to cause troubles of some kind or another. I can seriously go on with all the characters who enacts in the serial but seriously, do find some time and catch hold of the serial guyz. You wont be dissapointed.
The television series bears various issues faced by the nation and these concepts are shown through comedic sarcasm. Sometime moral values are also advocated. The sitcom not only tickles the funny bone but also forces the viewer to ponder on socially relevant issues like Save Water Campaign, Plant More Trees etc etc...
Awards:
It is the most popular TV show in India and in August 2010, it beat Baalika Vadhu to become the most watched TV show in India. The sitcom has won the best Comedy Serial Award in the year 2010.
