I don’t think there is anyone in this world who have not experienced pain. But it becomes intolerable to see a near one or a person whom you can relate to suffer. Tare Zameen Par is one of those movies which make you question your actions and the way the society expects you to behave. Today every parent wants their kid to be the topper to excel is whatever he does.
The story is of a 10 year old kid named **Ishaan Awasthi, ** he is a talented boy but in his own ways. He loves to dream, he loves colors, he loves the nature, over and above he follows his heart. He comes from a family where his father wants him to succeed in life, but the problem is he likes everything which is not related to academics. He fails in Standard 3 for 2 years then as a punishment he is put into a boarding to make him more disciplined, hence to succeed in life.
Although his mother is compassionate towards him and doesn’t want Ishaan to be away from the family still she losses the battle when the school threatens to throw him out if he doesn’t pass. In the boarding he is under strict orders which make him reduce to a shell. Then a temporary art teacher, **Ram Shankar Nikumbh **comes and identifies his problem. Ishaan is suffering from a Psychic disorder called Dyslexia. This makes identifying alphabets and numbers difficult for him.
Along with Dyslexia Ishaan is also very low in self confident because of the repeated failures and the punishments that he was subjected to. Ram Shankar Nikumbh, identifies his hidden talents and helps him to build his self confidence once again. He not only helps Ishaan to catch up with his studies, he also helps his family to be sensitive and realize their short comings in understanding him.
Anyone who has experienced failure, however small it could be can relate to the movie and will bring a tear in your eye.
