Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s signature music is what you can call this album. They have always shown their tendency towards such soulful and lively music. Dus(original one) and Mission Kashmir had vindicated their strength early on. And, Prasoon Joshi is a genius in the making. Read on.

Taare Zameen Par reaffirms a true music lover’s belief that as long as the trio is around, you would be very quietly treated with the kind of melodies this album has. Quietly, yes, because these are the songs you can turn back to, true melodies woven with love.

Let me rate each song individually.

  1. Taare Zameen Par:

Most of you would already have a taste of it by now. It is a moving song. Very well done (Info: this is not the best song in the album:)

  1. Kholo Kholo

A masterpiece. Prasoon Joshi had proven his mettle with, as we all know Rang De Basanti. Just watch out for the knocking lyrics this one has. Khoonte se bandhi hai hawa, mil ke chhudao saare. Too good.

  1. Maa

Very soulful. A masterpiece.

  1. Jame Raho

Kicking and delightful. Expresses three different child character types. Very creative!

  1. Bheja Kum

This is just a good song. The weakest in the album, I would say.

  1. Ishaan’s theme

A melody on piano. One of those Candlelight kinds. Nice and Beautiful.

  1. Mera Jahaan

A masterpiece again. You have to listen to this song to believe what it is.

All in all, I thought TZP was a must-have album. It’s the kind of music your ears long to hear.
