A good album.Go for it...

Here comes…. Shafqat amanat ali’s new album… Before start, I would like to announce that I m a DIE HARD fan of SHAFQAT ALI. So, according to human psychology, Itried out to find the best thing even in so called “average” songs. But still, I m putting my honest review.

TABEER. As usual… a great combo of different styled excellent

masterpieces. Except couple of, all the songs are great on its unique way…

Starting with Shafqat amanat ali’s voice, I hav no words to describe. He sings

from heart… It directly pierces the heart. That’s it. So far as music is

concerned… though apart from “FUZON”, they have tried hard to put the best. U

ll finds different kinds of instruments and different style of music and moods.

Ok… now coming to “song by song” review….

  • Khairheyan De Naal – my favorite in

this album. Beautifully beautifully sung by S.Ali. very soothing calming song.

If u r alone and want to make yrself imbulge into the deep ocean of emotion…

just go for this song. S.Ali has given his great classical accent in this song

specially in the signature line. Beautiful song.

  • Naina – a “band of boys”

kind of song. Honestly, I was not expecting this song in this album. - Dum Ali

Ali dum – A good version of “mast kalandar”. Good to hear. But again an honest

opinion. Not as good as Abida parveen. ( S.Ali’s voice doesn’t exactly suit to

this song as he is having soft accent.)

  • Rang Le – a beautiful Spanish-Indian

classical combo. (actually, this is a quawalli, but these people have converted

into Spanish jazz) Soothing voice, beautiful guitar strums, touchy santoor and

superbly played accordion pieces. U ll remember A.R. rahman’s “aey hairathey

aashiqui” (of Guru). It is ishq-e-haqiqi. Written by great Amir Khusaro.

-

Bulle shah- a RAGA Bhairavi based compo. Written by Bulle shah. I don’t

understand the words exactly but again a good composition. We can see the high

pitch of S.Ali in this song. Gradual involvement of Tabla and Drums makes this

song more effective. - Pagalpan- a “not so favorite” song. Apart from the

initial alap, S.Ali doesn’t show his singing style.

  • Rohi - beautiful song in

raag Kaafi. Rohi means ‘desert’. A sad song. Just close the eyes, and listen to

this song… u ll reach to the endless desert for sure. Good https://lyrics. S.ALI suits

the most in this song.

  • Kartar- a traditional raga Darabari based song. S.Ali

has metioned that his father ustaad amanat ali khan and uncle ustad fateh ali

khan used to sing this song. An excellent classical-rock fusion with some best

singing excellency. Worth listening.

  • Ya Ali – a good song but it could have

been better. Un-necessary editing of the voice kills the charm of the song.

Overall…. A very good album…. U ll get at least 4-5 songs worth listening from

total.
