The movie does not impress me much, as the plot is predictable and no better than bollywood flick. This review does not narrate about the plot in detail but rather focusses only the essential details just enough to know what is good and lacking in the movie.
Having said that.let us review the summary of the plot. there is a father.a mother(divorced and remarried to another one) but they have a daughter in common, our heroic father is obsessive about his daughter’s security.the situation is worse because he had retired after working for government security agence.the daughter goes on visit to europe following the U2 band trip, during the trip, she is taken away by the bad guys who are involved in the trafficking. the father flows down from US all the way to france and rescues her daughter, the story ends.
The father(liam neeson) and daughter(Maggie Grace) did a good job, but someone like harrison ford would had done a splendid job.neverthless the rest of the cast justify their roles, and the movie is not as boring as being reviewed:-) but definitely the movie does not justify to the expectation from the title. Imagine the father going to france in a bid to resuce his daughter goes about killing and wiping out goon’s controlling the women trafficking industry in france.does it anyway sound realistic to you.secondly and importantly as other reviews talk alot about the father and daughter relationship and all.let me tell you. this movie lacks it by a fair margin. if you are looking for such values and relationships drama you are better watching an bollywood flick:-)
Overall the movie is predictably dramatic in the sense that you could watch this movie if you have nothing else to do on earth. as an alternative you could as well miss this dud.
