I had a very good experience of AXIS Bank until I chose to have a home loan form this bank. I just opted for this bank based on my past experience, but the home loan process is like a nightmare for me. They don’t have a proper checklist of the documents that are required. They don’t check or cross verify the basic details in the documents. Staff seems to be lazy.
Everybody cares about his own job that has been allocated to him, nobody cares about customer concerns or problems. even senior guys like Sales Manager behave like a robot. He did not even try to understand my problems that got increased due to delays. For Instance, I gave them copies of all the property documents, and then after a week, they came to me saying that address in map does not match with registry. They kept saying that this is not a big problem, we will get it fixed in couple of days, Nobody bothered to inform me whats going on though they knew that my new registration date is approaching soon.
I called them after 2-3 days asking what happened to that issue, then they started explaining me in details. It was already a week wasted approximately. Then they started asking me for previous registry copies, I went to meet their Sales manager, he explained same thing to me. I tried to explain him that I may loose my advance amount of 16 laks due to delays, he was least bothered about it as if he was the richest person on the earth and 16 laks was a small amount for him.
I asked him why did they not verify the address as a very first step when I handed over the docs to them and why did they keep telling me it would be resolved in couple of days. He started making ambiguous statements. Even after I provided what they wanted in that week. They still took another 4 days to just let me know that I need to have a kind of different biana because the biana I gave to them weeks ago had a bigger amount. What frustrated me was why did they not tell me this when I gave them the biana.
This is very simple exercise for them that biana should not be larger than the amount of registry. This was the first time when I opted for a home loan so I was least aware of these formalities, but bank executives might be processing 100s of applications daily. This could have been easy for them.
Nobody bothered until I created a fuss with these guys and senior manager. Until then they were very slow. At last, I had to stay in the branch for the whole day to get the things done by them. They made me drive approx 50 km a day to get the pending docs. So this shows how smooth their processes are.
They made me felt like this was their first case ever. Phe https:// there is so much I can write. but overall I will not ever recommend anybody to go for AXIS Bank for home loan. If there is no option then start visiting branch very frequently from the day 1 and dont trust on what they say.
