I have had a very bitter experience with BOB Home Loans. They had advertised fast home loans, which was nothing but a gimmick to attract customers. I wanted loan asap, and contacted them. There employees have either a very high-handed attitude or completely helpless creatures. You end up going from desk-to-desk asking about the status of your file. They goofed up royally on my file. Few major goof ups which I would like to highlight, and caution all those who intend to deal with the BOB Home Loans factory -mumbai office.
The personnel assisting you(1st contact) will not assist you on documentation properly. They will only show you wat is required. If you are stuck with anything. They will say its too late.
Do not give the processing fees in the first place. They will never return it back to you;even if they cant give you the loan.
Your documents will get lost in transit. It is you who will have to follow up each and every process, else your file may remain jammed on some officers table.
They goofed up majorly on the valuation of the property. My fully furnished flat’s pictures were replaced with a 3rd grade slum that you will find near dharavi. Can you imagine wat I must have gone through after seeing these pictures and waiting & following up for 2months?
I had arranged for a duplicate share certificate, as the original share certificate had got damaged in 26July floods.The chief officer of BOB says- duplicates are not allowed. An original is original. We need the originals only. Cant expect an answer like this from Chief Manager atleast.
I had no option than just walking out. I approached another bank, and I got my loan smoothly.
Last but not the least, after my ordeal was over, I had sent a redressal letter to BOB at Baroda. The response is still awaited. Its been almost 2 months now. No revert.
