I had numerous lousy experiences at Talwalkars - Bandra, Mumbai.
I went to shower and left my windsheeter outside the bathroom. When I returned it was gone. When I asked the lady - who was there for security - her answer: "I went out for a break". When I complained, they said I must have left it at home. Then another girl walked up to me and told me that she lost a pouch of all her shampoo and creams too - someone stole it when she went to the loo. Thats great! Now are we supposed to take all our stuff into the loo or the shower?
And the music sucks. I remember once they played some really obscene song and when I complained they said that a customer gave them the CD. But apparently others complained too so they got more careful. But the music is loud and bad. No variety - you hear the same stuff again and again.
The workout area is too cold. Sometimes it is freezing.
When I went for a massage, the lady happily takes a call on her cell. And then keeps it on the massage table, so when it rang again, it did so in my ear. Talk about relaxation. Then she grumbled about the management and told me how badly they pay her.
I once just asked a dietician - forgot her name - whether a food was fattening. That was it - just one question. Her response: "I cannot give free advice". Boy, there are so money conscious....
And the trainers are far from qualified.......At one time, there were no trainers in the gym area - they were all chatting outside. Another time, I paid for a personal trainer who told me one day that she was bored...thats great - I pay a bomb and you say you are bored....
