We have booked i10 Magna 1.2 with Talwar Hyundai, Jubilee Hills via sales executive Shoaib. Today we went to the showroom for Pre-Delivery inspection and found following two issues:
Issue#1: Car is having some Korean tyres KUMHO. (Look itself was very cheap)
We search on internet and found this info there about this A recall of about 75, 000 cars equipped with faulty tires made by South Korean firm Kumho will start Friday, Chinas top quality watchdog said.
Another one we found on TBHP All these tyres are sold in India through distributors and not backed up by the parent company. The sole motive of such distributors is to earn money without understanding the operating conditions and other factors. These tyres are generally imported at very low invoice values, sold without B&W.
One needs to be extra cautious while purchasing such tyres. Also do check for UTQG ratings, Treadwear, Temperature and Traction. Higher the Treadwear better the tyre mileage, generally above 280 is OK. Temperature denotes the ability to dissipate heat generated in the tyre AA is the best, B & C not suited for Indian conditions.
Happy and safe motoring.
Issue#2: Cars manufacturing month is Sep 2011
At the time of booking we have been told that we will be getting Dec 2011 manufacturing model car but this was not the case. Now we asked sales executive to either provide us Dec 2011 manufacturing model car with Bridgestone tyres or cancel the booking.
Now Mr. Mahesh Rao has called us and told us that we would have to bear INR 1000 as an cancellation charge if we will cancel the booking. They are like cheaters and not trustworthy at all.
