Having lived over 40 years in Delhi, I was yearning for Delhi type food which is difficult to get in Bangalore.
Though there are umpteen number of joint offering North Indian Food , and Bangaloreans seem to love North Indian food and chats, therecipes are different, spices are different and cooking style is different. To us hard-core Northerners, Bangalore Food tastes different.
Tandoor on MG Road is a manna for Tandoori Food connossieurs. The Food is excellent, tasty, fresh, well prepared, well served, and has the authentic Tandoori flavour. Non-Veg dishes are specially recommended, Chicken Tikka, Mutton-Balti, Chicken Handi are excellent. Tandoor reminds you of Moti Mahal and the food quality is just about comparable. It’s quite expensive by Bangalore standards, and is crowded on week-ends, they serve drinks that makes the waiting less painful.
Tandoor is definitely worth a visit.
