Wow! Amazing! Fantastic! This is what I felt after watching the first day first show of director Siddharth Anand’s second venture after my very favourite "Salaam namaste". So, is it better than "Salaam namaste"? I can’t say that........and who cares? We surely have another hit from the Yash Raj banner and this time, it is well-deserved. ("bunty aur babli" surely didn’t deserve the success it got).
Let me, as always, refrain from talking about the story. I’ll come to the point straightaway. The movie belongs to the new successful KHAN - SAIF. His versatility as an actor cannot be undermined. Here, he delivers yet another good performance. Rani is good and sweet. Javed Jaffery is funny...funnier than what he was in "salaam namaste". The kids - Angelina and Ali are a delight to watch. The music is above average. The direction is fantastic. The car-race sequences are first-rate. So, does it have any flaws? Yes, it does. Trust me...even oscar-winners do have loose ends. Thats nothing to be worried about.
It can be overlooked and when you get to see a thoroughly entertaining movie like TRRP, which has drama, romance, speed and action shown so well, you need not complain. The first 15-20 minutes of the flashback shown is plain mediocre. The climax could have been a bit better. It happens too fast. However, there were much more flaws in movies like "DHOOM" and "BUNTY AUR BABLI", which were runaway hits. Just go and watch it.....you will not be disappointed.
