TRAHIMAM PRABHU TRAHIMAM !!! MERCY MY LORD

The balloon called Tashan has exploded with a pungent smell as if it was filled with Ammonia Sulphate with some Hydrochloride acid in it!  I know you would think what has happened to Dinzaach that he is writing such a non sense write up which has nothing to do with the film. I am sorry about that and I can only say that this has happened only after watching TASHAN.

I was in two minds whether to go for this flick or to miss it. Tashan was already hyped by media and to add to it, it was garnished with Kareena and Saif’s (UN) Real Love Story. But my Sis booked the tickets and I am the only driver in the family to take them to the cinema halls and get them back. For this duty I had to pay a heavy price of watching the movie which had nothing but a mere mockery of style, some patchy dialogues, some irritating HINGLISH Scenes, unbearable showoff by Kareena, unwanted flashbacks, torturing emotions and a pathetic story line.

The movie is about four characters - Bhaiyaji - Don (Anil Kapoor), Jimmy Cliff - Call Centre Employee (Saifu), Pooja – Bhaiyaji’s Employee (Kareena) and Bacchhan Pandey - Associate of Bhaiyaji (Aki).

Bhaiyaji is a Hindi Don (From Kanpur) and wants to learn English. Pooja gets hold of Jimmy and convinces him (Tactfully) to teach English to her Boss. Jim (misinterpreting Pooja’s offer) agrees just on a reason that he could meet the gorgeous lady while teaching English to Bhaiyaji. But the Don is all thumbs down and never improves at all.

Meanwhile, Pooja manages to get some important numbers of some business barons by using Jimmy. These phone numbers are in turn used by the Don to harass businessmen for ransom. He (Don) succeeds in getting money, but only to know that Pooja had ditched him and has ran away with all the money. Jimmy is dragged into this and Bhaiyaji wants him to find Pooja and money or else he is .... To keep an eye on Jimmy, Bhaiyaji calls Bacchhan Pandey (Aki) from Kanpur and they both begin the hunt.

It is predictable from here that what would happen on their journey and the audience kept expecting something more and a bit logical. But nothing comes to rescue and the films keeps moving towards unwanting frames and never regains.

I am not exploding the whole balloon here and wish it doesn’t get busted for you as well.

The film lacks a solid storyline and proper screenplay. The music is OK OK and some songs are placed so untimely that they created even more boredom. Expectation of any sort would be a track of disappointment.

About the cast performances, Anil has acted extremely well in the first half and he is getting better and better with every film. In the next half though he acted well but the story washed away his entire credit for the first half as well. So the rating goes 3/5

Kareena Kapoor was in the film to show her Size 0 shaped body, which was becoming boring after few scenes. She has done better here as well but the unwanted emotions and illogical flashback that were added to her role killed her performances altogether. So she gets 2.5/5

Saifu is the old wine and he is the man to be watched in this film. After a hard role in Race you can see him in a swift character which he has done perfectly and just fall in Love with his skill of delivering dialogues effortlessly and that too with STYLE. 3.75/5

Aki has also done well and I can say that no one has the gifted talent as this guy has. He makes you so much involved in the film that you forget everything else and keep expecting more from him. His serious - Comedy role is the only surviving factor of the film. I can rate the movie to be watched only for the reason of Aki’s performance. His entry is fantastic and worth watching. So rating would be 4/5

On the basis of the performances I can say that Bollywood has talent but the industry is missing on the actual script that would make them even better actors. It is high time that the Bid Daddies of the film industry understands that we admire Kareena, Aish, Bips etc and all the other males actors as well but we need some well written work which is well executed behind the camera.

I have also involved God in this by saying TRAHIMAM PRABHU TRAHIMAM. It is just for the fact that we Indians are missing some good movies since long time and all our Triumph cards are falling apart on the screen. Right from Sanjay Leela Bhansali to Ashutosh Gowarikar  - All have given some sub standard films and to add it now it is Yash Raj Films !!! Lets hope all didn’t turn the Ramu way and to  be away from developing any more tortures. (I am sorry if I was a bit offline)

To sum it all I can say this movie is to be seen at one’s own risk. If you have nothing else to do and don’t want any brains to apply on the film and don’t want to sit at home on weekends then go for this movie. Some scenes will make you laugh but at the end the disappointment is for sure.
