Tashan could have been a decent watch had there not been sudden mood changes towards ending...
The movie has good comedy and funny story till first 1.5 hours... thereafter the movie shifts to different moods sometimes violence, sometimes emotional and in short is pretty much messed up...
So, our general conclusion was, the movie could be a direct rip off from 2-3 different Hollywood movies.. because although individual scenes are ok, they do not have cohesion among them...
The action looked funny, and it seemed like it was meant to be comic... but then why is it accompanied with so much of bloodshed? The blood flow in those scenes is so gross that it is hard to laugh with it...
The movie is average in most other aspects like:
Costumes & Sets: OK
Choreogrpahy: OK
Lyrics, Music: Just OK
Story: Fine up to a certain point, confusing thereafter...
Dialogues: Nothing memorable
Cinematography: Very Good
Acting:
Akshay Kumar stands out and does justice to his character...
Saif is same as he has been in earlier movies like Tara Rum Pum, Kal Ho Na Ho, RHTDM and many more...
Kareena is OK... But did not have much to do...
Anil Kapoor is boring and irritating...
Other stand outs: Saif abs, Akshays abs, Kareenas abs, Kareenas bikini, Akshays waistline... and I am completely bored seeing these mindless skin shows...
Give me Hrithik of Dhoom II anytime, or even Ashs cleavage in Jodha Akbar was far better...
Believe me, it has lot more soul and innocence.. and that is the real turn on...
I dared to watch this movie only because of its timing... There is no other good movie nearby and other movies like U, Me, Krazzy4 and the types, do not have much star appeal ... they could be watched on DVDs...
See how Bollywood audience strives on Stars??? And this is how people like Aditya Chopra take advantage of that!!
I went for Kareena Kapoor and got Akshay Kumar... Not bad...
I also had an eye on Anil Kapoor, just for old times sake ( Tezaab, Parinda, Pukar, remember? ) but he disappoints big time...
Overall, not extremely bad, kind of ok...
But keep your expectations low, go only for Akshay and when the movie starts turning serious, just leave the theater... you might end up enjoying it...
