Its called daylight robbery

Its only good to have this with zero balance. Even if you have a balance of Rs.5 they will take it all claiming you have activated some VAS (Value Added Service). With just a message saying "Rs.5. Bal 0.00". Calling customer care is of no use.


They firmly make you accept that its only us, or some of our family members who had ’accidentally’ activated a VAS. I tell them no one would even touch my mobile (Its as if some secret spy enters and  activates a pack and goes away just to make my balance low, Honestly, that’s how it looks when Customer Care say its our fault). They will stop the service but will make no attempts to credit your amount back. Only emailing to customer care gets your balance back.


They will make all false reassurances that it wont happen again. Again, it will happen on and on until you become sick of sending complaints. I have experienced it more than 6-7 times. Losing Rs.30, Rs.10, Rs.1 each day for weeks till balance touched Rs.0.00, Rs.13, Rs.7 etc etc. These won’t even be accounted for in the "Last 3 deduction".


I recharged for Rs.250TT which had 2gb of internet usage too.. As I suspected, Rs.30 was taken away thrice! So I thought I would put on sms pack and have some Rs.5  balance. Was sending sms to few friends.. I was charged Rs. 1 for last 3 friends. A day ago I had Rs.15. Now I have only Rs.1!


Another baffling thing is that they offer DND. But conditions say that we’ll receive promo calls, promo messages, offers and all other sms, calls. They advice you not to give your numbers to any organizations as they might send messages (Of course we know that. DND was supposed to stop promotional messages and receive only personal messages from people right).


I have a string of emails sent and received to these customer care, all of them reassuring "It won’t happen again". Not just me, all of the people I know who use DoCoMo have the same complaints. They just think the customers are jokers who are unaware of the balance.


I have lost about Rs.300 till now and have hardly reclaimed Rs.100 back. I was tired of sending complaints. I had so much work to do other than working this out. I have applied for MNP now. And I’m very eager to switch to  Airtel. My family members have had Airtel for years. They just recharge for some Rs.200 and it goes on and on for months.. Bliss ! No trouble of recharge or complaints for them!


PLEASE PLEASE don’t go for DoCoMo. I’m speaking on behalf of all my friends and other poor customers who are unable to share their experiences.
