MORE TROUBLES PER CAR
Details of complaint:regarding Defective Product.
The very fact that the following parts had to be replaced within 16 months of purchase of the car to keep the car running speaks volumes about the quality of the car and how ill fit it is to be used on the roads. Not only were the parts replaced but also for enhancing the safety aspect; parts had to be added as an afterthought on complaining to them about the faulty dynamics of the car. It is as if I was used as guinea pig to test the vehicle on.Please do note that I have bills from BENZ Motors, the authorized service centre for every one of the parts replacements.
Parts of the car replaced are mentioned below:
1.Alternator Belt replaced twice
2.E P 80 gear box oil replaced twice
3.Timing belt replaced once

The parts listed above would have cost around 35000 to 40000 rupees at the authorized service center and another 10000 rupees for labor if the vehicle were not under warranty.
It is extremely difficult for a common individual like me to be able to afford the replacement of these parts once the warranty period is over on a regular basis every year. To compound the matters further list of the parts mentioned above are usually replaced once, after the car has run for 50000km and mine has completed only 21500km with the engine being opened 9 times in the intervening period.
It is high time that the company and the service center were taken to task for selling such a sub-standard product accompanied with thoroughly incompetent service requiring the change of crucial and expensive parts so often.
Experiencing the poor quality of the car and the extremely incompetent service, I had taken it upon myself to bring the Tata Company and their authorized service center to court and pry out an explanation for the lax treatment given to their customer even at the cost of loosing my private practice as an orthodontist. It is just unimaginable in these days of competition that they the company and service center collude to treat a customer with such disdain. It is my fervent prayer that the company is strongly reprimanded for selling a defective vehicle and the authorized service center is castigated for the lax service measures adopted.
During this period I had received various unfruitful correspondences from senior officials of Telco and Benz Motors. The first of these correspondences was a reply to the second letter that I had written to Ratan Tata giving details of my complaints and the number of times the car was called in for attempts at rectification. The end result was that the same complaints resurfaced a few hundred kilometers later.
Presently the car has been serviced for the 24th time and the car has spent a total of 93 days in the workshop and this I am talking of a brand new car which is just 21500 kms old and still under warranty as I had taken the Benz double cover policy for 3 years. Only God can save the gullible Indica owners.
Do this nation a service and spread the word as this is the truth especially since this is part of the petition filed in the consumer court.
