Good car but too much maintenance cost

I own a 2001 Dec Indica DLE. It was a great car (still is ...But not the way I would’ve preferred). But as somebody suggested now I realize it is a garage loving car.

I had some great memories going on long drives with family as well as alone. ( I ve driven it more than 2600 kms on a stretch 3 times already.) I ve done only 70000 kms in all these years.

It had stood the torture test all these years but now I feel it has taken its toll. I am encountering one problem one after the other none too silly ones but really major expensive repairs. As like all other Indica owners I have the same problems like loss of power when AC is put on, body rattling, tyre wear out etc etc. apart from shoddy service by the dealers.

I have already replaced the clutch discs, 7 radial tyres, Suspension, gear box failure, break shoes on all tyres, mind you Ive done only 70K.

Now the tata dealer says my piston rings are wornout, back pressure is devoloping in crank case(if u remove ur oil dip stick, oil will come out from the dipstick orifice while engine is running), Oil is spilling, my fuel pump is weak and I dunno how much I need to spend to keep my car running. But is it worth the trouble spending on this old lady.

Well can anybody enlighten me if I can still go on a long drive without an Engine Overhaul ( U know what I mean, replacing the rings etc, etc) or is it dangerous to go on a long drive if backpressure is there in Crankcase? can it cause permanent damage to Engine if I run like this? Ive to go on a long drive very shortly.

Does anyone know if it is same as misting in crankcase which can even cause explosion as I have heard about.

If somebody can highlight the dangers about backpressure please let me know.

regards,
