Been more than a year since I wrote a review of Indica Xeta Petrol after 8000 kms. And before that I wrote one at 2000 Kms. I have now done 20, 000 kms on the same vehicle and am here with an update.
I am very happy about the performance so far. Overall, a good car for people like me who need a little comfort and luxury in life, but at less price, preferably ;). Yes, no doubt that you can get much more luxury in a high-budget car.:)
Average: ~14 KMPL ( I own petrol Xeta)
Space and comfort with good leg room - for rear seats too. Though I feel the driver seats design and the angle at which the Accelerator, Brake, and Clutch are placed is not that comfortable for a Six footer. I really liked the olden type of full, big acclerator that used to rise from the floor rather than the hanging type that comes today. I feel - Driver seat is not too comfortable; should have had longer and better thigh-support.
Road-grip; feels safe; sturdy and heavy.
Pick up seems good for a car that heavy - well, better cars came out since then, but no complains.
Complete family car with adjustable trunk space, which increases considerably with 60:40 split, foldable seats. You can rally fit in big luggages.
Decent ground clearance.
Handles well even on highways.
- Thought it has good visibility for the driver, but driver-side beam of the roof hampers visibility while turning towards right.
Conclusion: The above concerns may just be the case with any car in Xetas’ budget. Would leave that for you to decide and do a trade-off between luxury and budget if you wish. :) I do sometimes feel that I could have gone for a Swift or Santro which were available then, but again the overall cost increases considerably.
Lord, give me contentment; else, give me Lamborgini!
Thank you for reading the review.
