Totally lopsided review by magazines

After being subjected to the pathetic product and service of the TATAs; I am talking about the Indica(original version which the company converted into the V2 by bolting on parts) I bought in May of 2000, I went and bought the Palio GTX 2 weeks ago. I was not expecting much from the Palio as many of the reviews in magazines are all praises for the Indica vis a vis the Palio.Take it from me an owner of both the cars that the Indica(bucket of nuts and bolts) cannot hold a candle to the Palio in any aspect except on the fuel efficiency front. Even the aspect about fuel efficiency you have to take with a pinch of salt because the Indica is so voe fully underpowered that it is bound to offer slightly better fuel efficiency. If you take the efficiency of the Palio engine on a stand alone basis whether it is 1.2 or the 1.6 in my GTX both are far more efficient than the INDICA’s gutless engine in every aspect including the obnoxious fumes category. Before any one goes and buys the Indica have a ride of both the vehicles with fuel efficiency not being on your mind; remember heavier cars are bound to burn more fuel but usually are better built especially among the newer generation of cars. Finally get a dispassionate view from your average taxi owner who has been using the INDICA for atleast 60000km. I would rather that the TATA company recalls all their vehicles and refund the hard earned money of the Indian citizen with a compensation for bearing their product. If you want to read more about my Indica read the article ’’ more troubles per car’’ in this website.
