Great even after 37000 KMS

I have a turbo from past one year and I have driven 37000 Kms already! yes you read it right. thirty seven thousand! I do mainly Mysore Bangalore stretch every weekend and keep going for long tours once a month.

In my opinion if you want to Njoy this car you need to drive this car in the 120 - 160 Km/h speeds. this is the range where the turbo boost is most powerful. believe it or not in the mysore blr stretch there have been very few cars that can catch me. I compare this car with Fiesta. its obvious that fiesta is much more refined than the tata indica but then when it comes to speed and pickup and the top end performance the Indica TC is a clear winner. please note that I have a Ford fiesta and also a Swift  LDi(diesel) and I like the Indica better because of the top end performance.

There have been very few problems I have faced with my Indica even after driving 37000 kms in a year.

the main advantages of this car is the spave inside. economy and an excellent service network backed up by a 3 year extended warranty.

I am adding some more details abt the car in response to the comment

I use my car daily in Bangalore and the sad part abt it is that in bangalore kind of traffic when u need to stop most of the time a then move few inches at times. it is a pity that tata’s have not done much about the clutch. its a common complaint at the tata dealer that the Turbo’s clutch is hard. that is very much true and when I complaines to the dealer I got the whole clutch assembly replaced under warranty. after that it is much better.

I would reccommend to buyers that they keep changng the engine oil every 5000Kms altough the manual may say 7500 kms. this will keep the engine in the best conditon and extend the life

coming to the mileage - the best mileage I have got is 17.5 on highway with a/c but please keep in mind the way I drive. may be it will give more for others. the worst mileage I have got in the worst of traffic is 14. so the mileage depends on various factors. the way u drive, the kind of road, the traffic. etc. so on an average u can expect the turbo to give 15.5 km / l

so if u have a passion for hish speed cruising and travel more than 1000 Kms per month then this is a very cost effecting car that has a lot of power to give you. if u are a kind of person who takes out the car only in weekends to go shopping. then please dont buy this car.
