I purchased an Indica XETA, GVS 1.2, LAGOON BLUE, after conducting an in depth online research. The reason I went for this car was because it is a TATA product, and of course for its curvy looks, space, more car per car for a very attractive price which is well within the reach of a an average Indian family.
I booked the car through M/s. Fortune Cars, Thane, and was promised a delivery with a week’s time but got the delivery after a month, which I do feel was beyond their control because of the load factor at TATA MOTORS factory due to the heavy booking on account of the attractive discount offered. The staff at Fortune were very helpful, courteous in their approach. The related paper work viz. RTO clearance, Insurance etc. were done within a fortnight which has to be appreciated.
Now about the vehicle, as of now I have driven around 500-600 kms and its performance is quite commendable. The ride is comfortable, the AC is superb(cools in a jiffy), the seats are comfortable and the engine is super silent and you won’t even hear a whisper once the window glasses are rolled up. Mileage is a pleasing 12-13 kmpl within city limits. I have not gathered the guts to take the car for a long ride ie. out of town fearing for the reliability as per the feedback received from websites featuring car researches. I do not know how far the opinion regarding the reliability is true. Opinions from readers are welcome.
As of now I am pleased with the performance of my car and shall update it when time permits.
