MY NEW INDICA V2 GLS

Hi,

I was looking initially to buy a second hand small car, but second hand small car in good condition comes around 1.5 to 2.0 lacs. Then I gave a second thought, “why to invest so much in second hand thing?” , and decided to buy new car. Also I had always a bad experience with second hand things (my second hand bicycle) etc. I would like to add here that, second hand car loan rate is high and u neverknow how much maintenance one has do after buying second hand car.

My budget was 3.0lacs to 3.5lac (down payment of 1lac + upto 2.5lacs loan)

My objectives within this budget were,

1 To accommodate at least five healthy people comfortablywith avg height 5.8 feet.

  1. Must have good power with good pickup.

  2. Good mileage.

  3. Low maintenance vehicle.

  4. A shuttle which can easily move in city traffic and roar on express highways.

At this budget I had following choices open,

High end – Maruti 800, Maruti Alto, Indica v2 xeta

Low end – Maruti Zen, Wagnor

In low end I was getting very basic model of Zen and Wagonr so these option were screenedout from my mind very early. No doubt both are good product of maruti. But in Zen space constraint is still their which was against my one of the requirement. In high end both 800 & alto were screened out due to cramped boot space and less value for money though they are low maintenance And goodmileage vehicles and are good in city but not for express highways as bothhaving engine of 800cc which is like driving 100cc Bike inthird generation world. Also Maruti’s dealer’s attitude is not good, as theyknow demand for their vehicles is high.

I got one of the Telco Dealer’s phone numbers in Pune from internet, I called them up.Next day Telco’s sales executive came at my office place with demo vehicle. He gave methe demo and Test drive of Indica V2 Xeta GLS. I was really impresses with the space, looks, power and pickup all at attractive cost.Really TataIndica Xeta is value for money. The only cars we can compare in Xeta’s segmentare maruti 800 and alto and they are not even near toxeta in terms of space, looks, power, good interiors and powerful AC.

So I finally I bought TATA INDICA XETA GLS at 3.10 lacs onroad in Pune two daysback. (I got corporate discount of Rs 8k, actual road price is 3.18 lacs).

Let’s see how much average it gives. I m not bother about its average initially as this is my first car and still I m in driving learning phase.

I ll updateu after six months after my first service. Till that time my driving ll also improves.

At thismoment I m very happy with my Xeta and hope to achieve all my objectives I was looking for.

Till then happy review writing.
