Do not buy the Vista Safire.

I’d like to start with the braking problemis I’m experiencing. The Safire models are defective cars. It’s because of bad legal infrastructure in this country that Tata can getaway with such nonsense. The dealers are also useless. I simply cannot think of buying another TATA vehicle again. I’ve have learned an expensive lesson.

When the vehicle is at slow speeds with the AC on, my heart has skipped quite a few beats trying to get it to stop. The brakes get jammed and doesnt function properly. The dealers have been quite unresponsive. They bleed the brakes each time and give the car back. The  problem repeats on the same day itself. I’ve also registered complaints at the tata website but to no avail. I’ve considered this my fate and am moving on.

I was proud to own the TATA brand when I bought it. I’m quite taken aback now and am trying to figure out if it was only the price that made me buy this piece of junk. I should have bought a SWIFT after paying 50, 000 Rs more. Believe me, it’s worth it.

The car has a 1.2 litre engine rated at 65 psi. I was OK with a little less power and assumed that it would give me better mileage. Again, I was proved wrong. I’ve never got more than 11kms/litre under any driving condition.

The space and comfort is fine but I’ve got multiple parts in my glove box that keeps coming off inside the car. I spend time every few weekends trying to figure out where these parts came from and trying to fix it so that it doesnt come off again. Quite a shoddy fit and finish job.

And the dealers are plain liars and conmen. I would’nt even give them the 1 star that I gave above.

That’s it for me and this company. TATA.
