My internet connection was suspended without information. Calling the customer service (thats what they call it as) they said that I did not pay the bill. Told them I have all the proof that there are no pending payments (from the bills and my bank account that the cheques were cleared), but still it has been 3 weeks and they have not yet restored the connection.
I make several calls (some calls last for almost an hour) and some accept that its the fault of their billing department and they are fighting to sort out the problem whereas some still say that I have not paid the bill.
Each time I call, a new person attends the call and I have to explain everything from scratch. So I recorded the entire problem as a mp3 and play it every time a new guy picks up the call. The recorded message starts with: "This is a recorded message. I am fed up explaining the entire problem to everybody who attends the call there. So LISTEN to this first and then talk to me!" (inbetween I pause, and check if are listening)
Why cant they update there records so that the next guy could know what is happening? OR - Are they doing it purposely since we have to dial from the TATA Indicom Phone provided by them and they make MONEY out of it ?
They told me that dialing customer service # 66600121 will be charged. If you tata indicom plan like that, first give my internet back! And then I will call you often and tell you bear and tiger stories. Then you could make my telephone bills higher. HAPPY ???
I spoke to higher level officials but still no response. One of the billing dept girl called me and said that one of my cheque (6months back cheque) was not cleared. But in all the bills, they have mentioned that my outstanding amount is Rs.0.00. When I told that, she started scolding that they will not mention in the bills as outstanding or pending amount and that we have to check our bank account EVERYDAY to see if the cheque has been cleared!!!
The only way now is.... I am going to the consumer court and I will bet that they pay for it!!!!
