It was with great anticipation that I went in for a Tata Indicom because of the tag (TATA).
Today I regret it for the simple reason that I don’t understand their billing systems at all. Any attempt to contact their customer rep will get you the above response
As far the service network is concerned some areas in Navi Mumbai (where I reside) don’t get proper signals. Signals are alright in Mumbai (it has to be so)
Their billing statements are not regularly send, you have to request them to send it to you (although not always)
Given below is a sample bill (if any body can decipher that for me I would be obliged)

The above break up doesn’t seem to make any sense because as far as I know no company charges you (quote MTNL) for clip facilities and billing has to be on a monthly basis and lot as depicted here.
Tata’s need to do lot of home work if they have to establish themselves in this segment
No I don’t carry any grudges against the Tatas; but I’ am disgusted at the call response time and the non transparency in billing systems. Bills generated in April 2004 shows calls made in December 2003(???)
Think twice or make inquiries with other users if you really want to go for a Tata Indicom
