I was having reliance datacard 2g and faced lots of problems starting from pathetic speeds to bad client service wherein not received the bills in time etc. Persisted with this for over one year I decided to say good bye. Recently took TataPhoton the offer is not bad either, paid 1000/- with a free bag as compliment. Instant activation is the big help I got as I required connectivity badly.
The interface however sans any speed meter to see how much speed Iam getting. Apart from this, there is no way to find data uplink/download in a session or acorss a period. Surprising thing is no call from service center for confirming the new registration either. However the speeds sofar is just 15-25kbps while downloading a file. Have I done any better by choosing TATA over Reliance ?
I just wonder if Tataindicom does have details of my new entry or just the franchisee playing with it. Do you guys have any such experience ?
I shall update later with my experience:
As said earlier, I am further updating my experience after 15days of usage. Customer care person visited my address for verification after a week. The marketing person told billing month starts from day I purchased it, but Tata fellow told it is from 14th to 13th every month. Anyway, we can never believe sellers anyway (Dhrupad, bangalore)
The speed (I must say slow instead) is pathetic never is above 50kbps. Guaranteed speed is 1.5mbps, Just wonder why TATA makes such false promises.
The interface never shows Datacard current speed, atleast for me. Can any of you tell how to find the current connection speed ? Reliance interface is much better, it tells the current speed and also connection logs etc... I find Reliance as best of the bad lot in comparison. But TATA is a big let down, as usual like Nano, Swatch etc.
Dont Buy TATA products
