I subscribed to Photon + in March ’10 under the HSIA USB 500 Min Plan i.e. I could surf for 1800 mins. per month for Rs. 500/- + taxes coming to Rs.552/- p.m. I never crossed this limit till Oct’ ’10.
From the beginning download speed was pathetic, average being about 47KBPS i.e. less than 400 Kbps instead of the claimed 3.1 Kbps.
When I complained, the frauds first asked me to get an antivirus in my laptop as viruses were slowing down my connection.
So I installed a Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 in Oct’. Seeing no improvement, I called their Service Engineer who admitted the signal strength in my town was weak & too many users were being served by a single tower . Nothing could be done about it!
I wrote to the Nodal Officer about this & the scum at once increased my Nov.’ bill to Rs. 1228/- i.e. more than double my bill till then.
When I asked for usage details i.e. the login & log out times he never gave them writing their machine was O.K!
I told him to stuff it as I would not submit to such blackmail & have dispensed with their so called "SERVICE".
