I had taken Tata Broadband connection in Ahmedabad and at that time I was very impressed by their quick service.they used to solve my technical queries very efficiently.
But since I shifted to Mumbai in April, I applied for the Shifting of the connection to Mumbai.
My account expired on 29th April and I was supposed to renew the same.but these people have a process wherein we are supposed to call up the customer care and then they will check the feasibility of connection at the required location. same thing applies for the shifting of connection also.
It was in April that I had put in Request for the shifting and today it has become a Complaint. Since May end I have been calling up the Customer Care(if we can call it that) and every time the answer is the work is under progress(as if they are building a bridge). Its two months(almost) now and till date I have not received a single call from Tata people telling me whether its feasible or not. Even the responses of CC people are set and I can(i do) repeat them before they can say anything.Ill put in a bullet form for interesting reading
I call them they ask how can they help me, I tell them to check my account and they will know how to help me.
They check the account & say as we can see your issue is long pending, I am forwarding the same to my senior and will get solved in next 24/ 78 Hrs
I tell them I have heard this "n" Number of times I want to speak to somebody senior, to this they say I assure u I will get ur prob solved. But when I become adamant they put me on hold(so that they can transfer the call to their senior)
After 20-25 Mins they will come back on line, and before they say anything I say, "You are gonna say that the senior is right now busy on another call but I personally assure you that the problem will be solved" To this the exec 1st of all is zapped but then says yes mam this is what I was about to say.
.**I have waited 1 Hour for 2 days to speak to somebody senior and on the 2nd day when I was successful I was given the same old assurance and trust me till date I have not received even one call.
*If I go into detail as in the kind of stupid replies I have got, this review would go on for pages and ages.they have even suggested me to go to the VSNL office which is some 2 hrs far from my where I live.and the irony is I keep on getting mails from them telling me to renew my account before 29th June after which the account will be suspended and Ill have get a new connection altogether.And Boom! Goes my money
*It has become frustrating, the only reason that I have been following up like crazy and not going in for any other service provider is that I have a pre paid account with VSNL and have around 2k in account. In my daily routine(from last 1 and 1/2 weeks I have been calling daily) calling up Tata is foremost and then spending at least 1 hour on them(which can easily be translated into time and money spent on calls).
BUT TILL DATE I AM YET TO GET ANY KIND OF RESPONSE ON THEM.EVEN THE CONNECTIVITY WAS AN ISSUE THE CONNECTION GOES OFF ATLEAST ONCE IN A MONTH.SO IF ANYBODY IS THINKING TO GO IN FOR TATA INDICOM PLEASE THINK NOT ONCE OR TWICE BUT N NUMBER OF TIMES.THERE IS NOTHING CALLED CUSTOMER CARE.
UPDATE
After my daily tussle with them the cabling was done on 18th August.but the saddest part is that when I called their customer care for Renewal Pack.they still have in there records that I am in Ahmedabad & the connection is still not shifted. They say the technical team has not informed them. And today after renewing my account when I tried to connect to LAN the lines were down!.*
