I am Praveen from Pune, instead of suggesting something I would just like to share what I experienced with TATA Indicom landline and DSL broadband connection. From the very first day of taking the Tata indicom and Tata broadband connection my experience was exceptionally bad.
1) The guy who installed the Tata indicom land line connection goofed up with the wiring because of which my intercom (separate connection) is dead. It’s been more than two months now and it is still dead.
2) I always used the internet after 8pm and before 8am; still I was billed for day time usage on many days. (Billed for more than 1GB day time usage on 26/06/07 alone).
3) I got both Tata indicom broadband and phone disconnected but bill was never rectified for all the extra usage I was billed for, need not to say that my intercom is still dead.
4) The customer care guys who never cared to call back have become hyper active all of sudden. Now they call regularly just to say that I will have to pay the bill.

Talked to a lady at the phone termination department and told her that because of the poor service and inefficient customer support I would like to terminate the Tata indicom land line connection.

It’s been around two months by now and I have talked to these guys at least 40 times sent more than 20 mails and none of the issue is fixed.
Instead on 12/8/2007 I again received a broadband bill which includes a charge of Rs 448.32(as minimum monthly charge, no usage) for 09/07/07 to 08/08/07 peried. As the internet is already disconnected (requested on 29/06/07 – 1:15pm, Termination request number: 76759801) I am unable to understand the reason for this charge. You all are wise enough to decide if you would still like to go for TATA Indicom.
