If there is a product/ service of anything in the market today, that I would strongly not recommend, it would be TATAINDICOM BROADBAND. Please stay away . THIS IS AN EXTRA STATEMENT AS DATED 11-07-2009. IT HAS DISCONNECTED EVERYDAY FOR THE PAST ONE MONTH!.. I THINK THEIR COMMITMENT IS TOWARDS A DISCONNECTION THAN A CONNECTION!
I installed it a year ago, with huge promises from the local operator, whom I saw last on that day. Ever since, I have only corresponded with the "call centre". I think I must have spoken to all their 300 staff members, as that seems like the number I have called them over the past one year.
The connection is highly volatile and whimsical, perhaps a reflection of its employees. It goes off on its own, atleast twice a week.
So everytime I have to call some "xyz" call centre employee and forgo the same procedures of " lan settings" and "ipconfigs" a million times. Ofcourse, none of it works a single time!
So evertime I am signed off with, " My engineers are working on it, your complaint is on priority, please give us 24 hours to rectify." If I could offend them, I reallly wish I could say, " 24 hours!!!!...are we still in the stoane age?!"
Apart from that, when I called them about how my wireless router suddenly didnt support their network, the reply was as shrewd as ever, " We cannot offer you help in this case, please contact your modem vendor."
And again when my one laptop didnt connect to the internet and all the cmd-ipconfig-ping didnt show any result, the reply was, " Sorry maam we cannot offer you personal assistance, please contact hardware vendor."
Kudos to Tata, for providing such commendable impersonal service and having the courage to actually publicise such a HIGHLY INCOMPETENT AND HOLLOW SERVICE.
I am thankful, that I have written the review and the connection is still on, as this is the second time I am typing it all over, becoz the connection went off the forst time!!!!
meanwhile, I am waiting for my account to empty, to get rid of this pest of a connection. But ofcourse, I shall get a prompt reminder in a few months asking me to recharge- that is at least one prompt and professional aspect of the entire service!
