You should know that i’m using the wimax to write this review. I personally believe wimax is a failure all over. i’ve heard of other people using it and basically complaining all the time that it sux. I was very skeptical as I heard from other people at this website that it hardly ever works.
I’m surprised- the connection is working just fine. i’m using a wireless router and 2 laptops for this connection. so far I can’t see any issues. service seems OK. I called them and each time they picked up without a huge delay. they are courteous and relatively well informed.
Not sure about security measures. I intend to change my password today. I think it shows up in wifi as well so anybody can connect to it. i’m not sure how reliable it will be to use just a password, etc. however, if anybody hacks it, well the most they can do is use it for internet browsing- i’m using a wireless router of my own so my personal network should not be as exposed.
I need a high speed connection but took this one so I could test it without a huge commitment. if all goes well, I plan to upgrade it to 1mbps or more before the month is out.
