I would like to point out the business tactics of Tata wimax.
Positives - really good in terms of connectivity, speed and customer support.
Negatives - Tata wimax group claim that they provide 384kbps as the lowest limit when a new connection is requested. After using wimax broadband for few months, if one finds it costly to pay Rs.1103/month for unlimited plan(384kbps ) as opposed to other service providers who charge Rs 500 to 700 for speed more or less than that of tata wimax, there are other options.
First, force the customer care care executive to provide a plan which is lower than 384kbps by threatening them that you will switch to other service provider.Then, they will come up with the suggestion that they have 256 kbps plan and other plans that would cost less than Rs.1103/ month without compromising speed.It will be really surprising to hear that such plans exist with tata wimax. Next is wi-fi connectivity from spectranet which provide 512kbps for just Rs.500 without using wires to access internet. But one is expected to check the services of spectranet before adopting its services.
