If any one would like to know what a worst ISP can give you, just take Tata WIMAX connection is Bangalore.
Almost I can give them 1/10 marks. it is as bad as that never ever try this operator.
As Airtel was not available in my area I opted for TATA Wimax connection Rs 1024/- corporate plan.
Problems started during Installation itself, when trying to fix antenna the service guys are not getting the required signal, snr rate(signal range) was too low. They do not know what to do, as I was aware there is new tata tower near to my house in the opposite direction of what they installed the antenna, I requested them to re orient the antenna and try. it worked. I am happy I got connection.
Second day, after reaching home from office I switched on the modem, I am not getting the connection.I called Customer care. waited 15 minutes hearing the boring music and raised a complaint with the executive. At first they are not willing to register the complaint, they told some "trouble shooting" tips, but nothing worked.
Next day morning I checked the connection, it is working. But after 5pm to 12.midnight I am not able to connect.
Meanwhile service visited me during day time and told there is no issue, as the connection is working.
Again the same issue is happening evening I am not able to connect. I started my long struggle and finally on person from their Technical team identified the issue, it is because they do not have enough ports/ips in the signal tower during the evening hours when I am trying to connect. He told it will be rectified.
This issue was not rectified till I disconnected the connection.
But once it get connected, the speed of connectivity was awesome. it was just flying.
In between I found one solution for this issue. keep the modem ON 24/7 and connect it to a home router. but if the power goes in between during evening hours. the connectivity will be lost.
After two months of experiment, I thought it is enough.I disconnected.
One thing I am not understanding is, even though they know this issue why they are not able to rectify it, if their capacity is overloaded why they are giving new connection and cheating the users.?
