Finally I got my vehicle back on 08.05.08 after 16days after rigorous follow up with regional office based in lucknow for the spare part ie self starter whereas the local service centre had asked for a weeks time further.
Even on 08 when they handed me the vehicle they had not serviced the said vehicle as instructed but only changed the self and I got it done the very next day.Thankfully the vehicle was serviced and delievered the same day, **I even received a call from their service quality department regarding my satisfaction levels for after sales service.
My idea behind this review is primarily to make readers aware what they are in for if they go in for a TATA indigo CS.
ANYONE CAN GO IN FOR A SELF INITIATED CHECK AT TATA SERVICE CENTRE LOCALLY wherever you reside & YOU WILL ’N’ NUMBER OF NEW VEHICLES on hold at workshop WITH SIMILAR PROBLEMS ie SELF STARTING AND AIR CONDITIONING.
If you guys have patience to spare your NEW vehicle for 10-15 days for small - small troubles then GO FOR IT!
I had Purchased Indigo CS LS on 02.04.08 through Society motors Kanpur.got confused by the various reviews which only condemned the inferior quality of the interior’s which was not my priority as all I wanted was boot space. the A.c. of the car was not at all effective since day one and within fifteen days the Self starter of the car starting giving trouble and the said vehicle is in service centre since 25.04.2008. The company is not able to supply the Self starter Till date and none of the company staff is able to give a satisfactory answer for the same despite repeated follow ups.they don’t even answer the phone when called up.
The Company officials say the self start problem is found in most of the new Indigo CS models and in Kanpur only they have 45 cases pending.
So, before buying TATA Indigo, kindly explore the other options otherwise fasten you seat belts to suffer.
