I had purchased a TATA Indigo Manza in the month of Feb 2010. On my recent long drive from Bangalore to kerala I came to know that my service lamp is glowing which is an amber colored lamp and on referring the Manuel I found that the car needs to be serviced and that something is wrong with the engine. Fearing that there is something going wrong I took it to a TATA authorized mechanic, driving around 80 kms and after checking the engine, I was informed by the supervisor that they do not have the software for decoding the error message and that the engine is working fine.
The supervisor advised me to go to the next big city Cochin and get the issue sorted. So I had to drive another 40 kms to reach the service center and on checking the error message with his computer, I was informed that they have to find out the problem which was causing the error message. so I had to wait the whole day and to be told by the supervisor that the relay is gone and they do not have spares.
I had no other choice than to plead with the Manager to remove the relay from another Demo Manza car and fix it onto my car.
Dear readers, if you are buying a Manza, please ensure that you stay next to a big city which has a TATA Authorized service station that has all the required software and available parts.
