Bought an Indigo GLS from Fortune Cars, Mumbai. Delivered on 29/09/2004. Have done over 12500 km so far (in less than 8 months). The average run is about 50 lm per day. I do not drive this much regularly. The distance covered is due to regular visits to Pune/Nashik, and occasional visits to other places, including a visit to Goa. The car is a beauty.
It is very sensitive to the brake, steering, and the accelerator. My piece is very robust, and there are no squeaks or sqeels or creeping sounds. It is a drivers car - driving over 600 km per day is no difficulty at all. I have already done it twice, and will not mind doing it again. It is also a car for the passengers.
The front seats are great beauties, and the back one holds three adults very very confortably. The airconditioner is superb. Even in the hot summer it manages to keep the internals pretty cool. On the Mumbai-Pune expressway, it is difficult to keep yourself from speeding. The car behaves so nicely that if you do not look at the speedometer, you will find yourself going at speeds of over 100 km/h.
It is a hard time and requires great mental restraint not to break the speed limit. I have, just to check out, accelerated to 135 km/h just once. Stayed at that speed for a minute. The car behaved very nicely. It was perfectly stable, and gave no hint of any misbehaviour! For long journeys, the boot space is cavernous!
