I do agree with you. I remember I had a damaged Petrol tank of xeta. The quotation given to me was three time what it was available from genuine TATA motors spare parts dealer.
I was asked to leave my car at their workshop and it remained unattended for almost a week. They gave sily reason that they are waiting for courier from Pune.
Finally I picked up my car and got it repaired using my self contacts in TATA motors Pune.
The petrol tank of Xeta was quoted 11, 000/- + Taxes and 2500/- as fitting charges which I got home delivered from TATA for Rs 3500/- I got it fitted by my mechanic for Rs 200/-
The dealer is least bothered about customer service.
