Alternator, Battery Problem, Overheating

I own a Nano LX version. Bought on 25th Aug. on 5th Nov, While I was traveling some 350 KM away from Bangalore after crossing 220KM plus, (over all KM reading was 2408). My car got switched off. Then the local mechanic wr not in position to find the problem. Had to call Tata break down department. The mechanic came 3 hrs later.. all this time my self and my wife wr standing on the lonely area of a Ghatt place. Even the mechanic sent by tata also not able to find the problem, later my self and wife could see some smoke coming from the battery and some foul smell. Then we saw that almost all the Acids in the battery wr leaked out, damaging my bag, spare shoes and some other luggage. Finally I had to tow the vehicle to some Tata service station(Auto Matrix Puttur). But not even a security person was there to collect the vehicle. Again I towed the vehicle 70km and gave to KVR. Now they are telling its Alternator problem.

And they had sent it to TVS service center. Even after 5 days.. no information about the status of the Alternator service... :( Verdict: Nano is good vehicle for the City.. Not for long drive.. you cannot use ti For emergency purpose, as it is not reliable.. even if tata claims that its the problem with third party products.. ultimately the person who is in the car will be in problem.. but over all... I liked the vehicle...
