Tata Nexon EV - First pure electric SUV

Talking about the Tata Nexon EV, it is the first pure electric SUV in ite segment with attractively priced, its very comfortable and gives silent driving experience. Tata motors starred its first electrification with the Nexon and the ARAI claimed range is 312 kms which is quite less and can be a range anxiety, its battery replacement cost will be very high.

Due to lack of sufficient charging station one cannot plan a long diatance trip with the Nexon EV. Taking about the price it ranges from 13.99 lacs to 15.99 lacs which makes it attractive to the customer .

The Nexon comes in three varients:

Nexon EV XM - 13.99 Lakh

Nexon EV XZ Plus - 14.99 Lakh

Nexon EV XZ PLUS LUS - 15.99 Lakh

Now the cars are not a problem. But where is our infrastructure? If I am an apartment dweller, EVs are more pain than its worth. If I am a highway runner, charging stations are going to be a constant pain.

Good to have so many EV cars in the pipeline, but we need infrastructure to change to EV cars. An average car buyer does not give a damn about environment, he wants convenience, which the EV cars do not offer at present in India.

Let us know that in addition to Electric Nexon, Ziptron technology will also be used in Altoz EV and updated Tigor EV. Electric Nexon will compete with the Electric Mahindra XUV300 in the Indian market. The electric XUV 300 is expected to be launched in the second half of 2020.

The Tata Nexon will be the first all-electric subcompact SUV in India which is being unveiled today and more details about the vehicle will be announced. The Tata Nexon EV is expected to be launched in 2020.
