I had a TATA Photon 3G dongle earlier and was advised by the brand showroom manager that the TATA Photon Max Wifi works efficiently and there are no issues. So I got it and ever since(it has been about 7 months) there has been slow speed issues and I have complained several times.
I get the same old story each time from the Customer Care agents "you are living in a high volume area and we are in the process of improving the network". Occasionally the speed improves but then goes back to crawling slowly again. It has been frustrating and I have reduced the data and may even cancel if this continues.
Surprisingly the same device worked efficiently when I was in Hyderabad and in another area of the city. So test the speed before you invest in it. Another aspect I noticed is that whenever I connect to gmail it disconnects and connects again. In MSN a lot of ads pop up and the emails don’t open for a while.
I am waiting for the day when Internet in our nation reaches world class standards!
