The sick tale started with the upgrade process(which actually turned out to be the biggest downgrade actually) or so they claim is undergoing.
I lost signal to all my HD channels . The technician did visit and make some adjustments to the angle at which the dish was set and the signals were restored to all HD channels but I told him they were very weak. No response from the techy just a nod and he left .
After working fine(assuming weak signals can be termed fine) for the next 24 hours, all my channels just went blank, completely blank .I was staring at a " No signal screen ", not even a single channel was showing up .I promptly made another complaint that was attended to at a snails pace and a good 4 days wait
Here is what the technician said when he failed to restore the signals, "the set top box is bad ".
But why? It powers on fine.has no damage physically, displays all the menu items, just no signal and the guy is blaming it on STB, sounds strange and he disgusts me by saying u will need to make a fresh complaint.
why cant he?
Why was he not carrying a new STB anyways when I am still under warranty .
Seething with anger I made a complaint and I was told your complaint has not been closed yet the STB will be replaced free of charge.I waited for 2 more days and than chatted online to see the progress, I got a shocker this time my complaint was closed without an STB change, without a resolution.I felt like punching my screen but I just fisted the thin air .
I told the person online today is my last day to recharge .and than I face disconnection and reconnection why are you charging me for the outage .all he says is we are not get; when actually the money is getting deducted every day - pls get back when issue gets resolved .I am without any signal for 7 days, these guys cut money on a daily basis . I must have argued with this guys for over 20 minutes to refund my money, I was adamant I wont recharge a blank screen but it fell on deaf ears .
He even had the guts to tell me when the technician visits yr service needs to be active .why in the world someone recharge a no signal service, would you .?
Than he kind of threatened me .do you wish to register a complaint or not . I go berserk asking him to refund me for the lost days, he is happy ignoring me .disgusted I ask him to register my 3rd complaint .i still dont have any idea why the 2nd one was closed .why was the STB in warranty not replaced.
He was just mum about it.I guess I will never ever know .
My service which anyways has been .out-of order.will after today be out-of-air-service.officially.
I will kick in the stop loss and not top it up again . But does Tata Sky care?
Not in the least.they are happy to lose you.they are happy to bully you and dominate you. They are content at controlling you but they will make no attempt to retain you just like they are making feeble attempts at retaining their signals .
The moral of the story:- They dont give a dam* to you .
Yes I am helpless and hopeless right now but I am not going to give up without a fight, this review is just the start .If I will go, ill make sure I create a big ripple as I leave .
