Reduction of Prime regional channels.

Hi,


I am a subscriber of Tata Sky since inception, and am subscribing to it’s Annual South jumbo Pack.


They used to provide 7 Malayalam channels in the pack, and hence opted for the same. But to our surprise they have recently discontinued Kairali, Amrutha & DD Malayalam channels which are the best of the lot and most popular. Being a Malayalee, my family and so many of my friends who have taken Tata Sky connection on our recommendation, are highly inconvenienced due to this unilateral decision of theirs. Their help desk is not in a position to give any satisfactory reply. In a highly competitive market where other DTH service providers are increasing and including better quality channels, their action is beyond comprehension.


In the public interest they should reinstate these channels, without which every Malayalee subscriber will find it meaningless to subscribe to Tatasky. Else we will not have any other option than to ask for the disconnection, refund of the annual subscription, as well as any other compensations towards inconvenience caused. It is needless to say that we will also have the option to file a suit in the consumer court for breach of contract and trust.


I was  strongly contemplating to take an HD+ connection of theirs, instead am now constrained to discontinue my patronage itself.


While on the subject, I would also like to mention that I am an ex- employee of Tata group and am still proud of the values and ethics upheld by the group. I sincerely hope that good sense shall prevail and the discontinued channels will be reinstated without any further deley, as they should realise that justice delayed is justice denied.
