I fully agree with the opinion of other fellow members on this blog . I have been using TATASKY for last one year. the picture and sound quality is good.
Since last one year when I subscribed to SOUTH JUMBO PACK many channels have been shifted to paid packages category. I stuckon with tatasky because it offered more regional channels than local cable. Last week tatatsky said tata to 2 malayalam channels, one of these is the leading news channel in malayalam. call their helpline or e-mail them & you get a standard parrot reply with no offer to help you out. what theyseem to be saying is - take what you get or leave it .
I got another shock today . No ESPN, STAR SPORTS, STAR CRICKET OR TEN SPORTS. that is- no sports cannel except DD sports even after paying rs380/month .(350 rs / month+ rs 30/month for sports gold pack for neo sports).
And yes I forgot. they have removed BBC Channels also.
this when the local cablewalla is providing most of these paid cannels for rs350/month.
And finally i’m planning to remove tatasky from my life .

**friends. I recently went through the reviews for DISH TV . the only other DTH service option available. I can’t help but state that **tatasky service seems to be much better than dish tv.
**i got tatasky installed one year back. absolutely no problems in getting the system installed and activated. it was a breeze. my subscription got up & running within 6hrs. the executives who installed it were very helpful and gave all necessary instructions . no problems with the signal except during heavy cloud and rains. no problems with STB either till now. the account gets updated as soon as u make a payment.its totally hassel free.i never had an oppourtunity to complain regarding tatasky service.
I was a very satisfied customer till this februrary. since last few months tatasky has made several changes in its packages. several regional channels were taken off air without notice. several were made into pay channels.eg.for getting 6 sports channels you need to pay 85rs/month.ofcourse in diff. packages.
the cost is definetly higher than the one charged by local cable. the local cable infact may offer more channels for a lesser price.
if you want good picture and sound quality u have to go for DTH. among the DTH if you want hassel free service you may have to choose tatasky. but then the cost for tatasky is definitely on the higher side.
so make an informed choice.
