It is very sad to see a reputed company like Tata sky fleecing people in broad daylight. I have had to replace my HD Settop box three times within a span of 5 months and paying Rs. 400 each time. The service engineers give you faulty repaired boxes and give a warranty of 1 month, but the settop box has been conking off with regularity every 2 months. the first time it was changed was in November 2016 and it promptly conked off in Jan 2017 and was replaced. It conked of again exactly 2 month later in Mar 2017 and replaced.
Must say the Tata Group have opened a new venture to keep the profits rolling, by palming off repaired by yet faulty set top boxes to unsuspecting customers. The only reason I chose Tata Sky was the Tata brand and Ratan Tata who has always had an impeccable reputation.
But seeing the way things are now, if the settop box which I am expecting to conk off again in 2 months i.e. by May 2017, I will change my dish provider and move back to the local cable operator who are much more efficient not only with their services but also the cost.
