We have owned a Tata Safari Dicor since 2008. Soon after purchase I returned the car to the dealers - the clutch was behaving like a very old clutch. The dealerbled it and said the problem had been dealt with. Well it hadnt been dealt with and within a few months the clutch failed and had to be replaced. It has been replaced yearly ever since.
In case you are tempted to think it is my driving skills or lack of it, we have an older car - the clutch has never been replaced! The electronics is aweful - nearly all windows dont function well, doors cant be opened.if ever there is need toregulate car quality, Tata Safari makes the case. We made an error when we purchased it! Simply stay away from it.and perhaps anything Indian!
